Entrepreneurs seem to be the new big thing on television. Having debuted Shark Tank just a few weeks ago, Channel 10 has launched another business program. However, instead of focusing on wannabe entrepreneurs looking for money, new show Where It All Began highlights established entrepreneurs giving back.
In an effort to mitigate the issues faced by Australia’s fashion industry, Dorry Kordahi, Managing Director of DKM Blue, decided to leverage his business in China to create a manufacturing plant which will focus solely on smaller orders – as little as 50 units at a time.
Sometimes, to the outside world, it may seem as though landing a major business deal is a success that happens overnight. DKM Blue’s Co-Founder, Dorry Kordahi says that early stage businesses should be prepared for the hard slog that can be involved with getting a major customer on board. Their recent licensing deal with Australian stalwart brand Akubra was three years in the making, with the first conversations dating back to late-2011.
